Affiliate Marketing Tips – The Right Way to Get Subscribers & Build Lists
The first step to building a solid email list begins with signing up with any of the best known email auto responders & link building services (click here to see who we work with). But that is just the beginning. What matters in the end is how effective your lists are.
In this post on Affiliate Marketing Tips series we shall try to answer many of the questions we get mails on, as to how to build an effective email list the right way. We work with A Weber services for the most part and they have helped us in our efforts to grow our subscribers’ list on many affiliate websites.

Tips to Build Solid Email Subscriber’s List the Right Way
1. Use only double opt-in sign ups - double opt-ins ensure that your subscriber is consciously signing up for your emails. Note that double opt in is a legal requirement for many countries like the US & Canada.
2. Don’t buy email lists – buying email list is useless most of the time unless they are correctly segmented. Even with a purchased email list, your email service provider will send out an opt-in email to confirm that they are willingly subscribing to you.
3. Give what you promise – affiliate marketers trying to build a list often attract subscribers with incentives, ranging from free ebooks to a lot of other things. Keep your promise to your subscriber & deliver what you promised in the first email.
4. Provide unsubscription links in emails – those who would unsubscribe will unsubscribe. Make it easy for people who wants to get off your list to do that easily by providing an unsubscription link.
5. Use Refer a Friend Call to Action in Emails – Refer a Friend allows email recipients to pull in their trusted friends & partners into your email lists by sending them your subscription link. This is very similar to word-of-mouth marketing & usually gets very solid new subscribers.
An effective email list implies that you can count on those subscribers for conversions. The measures are (1) cost per subscriber, meaning how much money (or effort) you are spending to email the subscriber & (2) return per subscriber, meaning how much of conversions or sales you are earning per subscriber.
Your list could be small but if your subscribers are the right sort, you could still be making high returns on your emails.
