The blogging technology is around for almost a decade now. And yet there are so many limitations. If you think about it, blogs were meant for personal expressions to be shared. I feel that the organizations have done a terrific job in keeping the blogging programs under open license. That makes it possible for any one to create something new. Even then, I don’t see many of the sharing options coming with the bundle!

So here is my idea on blogging, and I believe that WordPress and LiveJournal & TypePad and all the other major companies can implement these very easily.

Add a Share button to your blog posts – thats it! The button allows your reader to save your post and thoughts for deeper reading or emailing it to a friend or just saving it for later.

People use Stumble, Reddit, Delicious, Digg and a few services like these almost every day. Knowing that these are fantastic means of sharing your opinion, it will add a lot of value to your posts. And the best part of it, you don’t have to download any plugin or code, you do not have to verify if it will work or not with the new version, you will not have to worry whether the people who created them are still interested in updating them.

The Sharing plugin is anyway a very simple piece of code and is available in many ways and forms on the internet already. But integrating it with the Blogging package ensures and you can still use them if you change your themes, the blogging software is upgraded and you know that it has been tested well with a new version of the blog once they are rolled out.
